Here are some of our most frequently asked questions. If you have a question that is not answered below,
please contact us, we love getting mail!

1. Are your necklaces also assembled by the artisans?

We are obsessed with bringing our customers unique and high quality products. While our artisans make beads that are both unique and beautiful, we are not able to source other parts of the necklace in country. We are committed to making sure every part of our necklace is ethically sourced and of highest quality. Therefore, we have chosen to buy our 14k gold chains, tassels, glass beads, etc. from vendors in the U.S. who meet both our quality and ethical standards. We hope that in the future we can also employ refugee women to assemble the necklaces. Currently our Classic necklace is 100% made and sourced by our artisans in the Horn of Africa!

This model fits with our future dream, which is to employ refugee women to assemble the necklaces in the future.

The Classic Necklace is 100% made by our artisans in the Horn of Africa!

2. How did you find your artisans?

You can read more about our artisans and how we found them on Our Artisans page.

3. where do the other pieces of your necklaces come from?

All items we purchase are ethically sourced. We work with online vendors to ensure we have quality products that won't stain or tarnish. We even make sure the varnish the women use on the paper beads is non-toxic. If you notice anything wrong with the quality of our products, please let us know so we can work to fix it!

4. will you sell other necklace designs, colors, or products?

Yes! Each season we will release new colors and sometimes new designs. As we grow we hope to even introduce new products and from possible other places in the world!

5. What if I need to make a return?

You can see our return policy here.

6. Can I visit the artisans?

Let's Chat! Send us an email and we'll discuss. We would love to be able to introduce you to our artisans so you can love them even more!

7. How do I care for my necklace?

We find the best way to care for your necklace is gentle soap and water. Use a washcloth and gently rub off any spots you may find on the beads. If you are cleaning the14K gold chain, it is best to use a jewelry cleaner, but be careful not to expose it to the paper beads.
